A Cheetah, but Not a Tax Cheetah

Some people just have an uncanny knack at knowing a good thing when they see it. That would be the best way to describe Lindsay Green. She’s a sharp spotter, which is why she got the idea to join Lawhorn & Associates in 2008—and why she’s already a senior staff accountant here. She even convinced her employer, Beverly Linkous, to join us as well as another of her coworkers, Dee Dee Card.

Lindsay’s work can be summed up with the words thorough and meticulous. She is a model accountant, and by that we don’t mean that she does photo shoots for CPA magazines. She handles financial compilations, new client setups and integration, client processes and training, tax work, and employee training.

Lindsay completed her bachelor’s at Berry College in Rome, GA, then went on to earn a Masters of Accountancy at UT. Her specialty is auditing, which explains her eye for detail. In fact, she worked as an auditor for KPMG in Atlanta for quite some time. She comes to us with 10 years experience in accounting and is working on her CPA.

But before we have you convinced she is a total nerd, let us direct you to her other activities. Both Lindsay and her husband, Sean, are lifelong athletes. Her two children, Jaylon and Meeyah have also inherited their parents’ athleticism, and in the case of Meeyah, her mama’s attitude. Lindsay played basketball in college as well as (we’ll give you a line and a second to guess) football. We’re afraid to ask her if it was touch or tackle, but we have verified that she was the quarterback (naturally). Lately, she’s been undertaking triathlons.  We’re not bragging that she’s tough, but hey we’re accountants: we’re betting on her against Chief Principal Jeff Lawhorn in an arm wrestling match.
