Every efficient engine requires a flywheel to perpetuate its momentum, and the L&A machine is no exception. With one eye constantly focused on research and development, the other eye must concentrate on the bread-and-butter foundation for the entire firm.

Jennifer Chan is our flywheel. Affectionately called “The Jenerator”, Jen’s quiet industriousness and ability to stay focused are the envy of the entire staff. At the end of a typical day, stop by to view the small mountain of quality work she consistently produces.

Jennifer came all the way from Hong Kong to join L&A in 2004. She held accounting certifications from Great Britain before immigrating to the US, where she earned her BA in Accounting from UT. As if that weren’t enough, she is also a Certified QuickBooks© ProAdvisor and working on her CPA.

Jennifer enjoys spending time with her son and daughter, the latter also being an accountant. Her favorite type of food is, believe it or not, Chinese. She is learning to be a good gardener as well. Given her will to persevere, we’re all expecting her backyard to sprout a national forest any day now. Her idea of a good time is sharing her interest in her career with her accountant daughter. Yeah, that’s dedication and you know it.
