The best small business owners are surfers. They watch for the most robust waves and catch the longest ride they can. Of course, on the flip side of that, the worst among small business owners just float aimlessly in the ocean of money and management, waiting for the next big wave to maul them and hoping they get pushed in the right direction.
What is the next big wave? Mobility. Make no mistake about it: the savviest of business owners, big and small, want their information at their fingertips. They want to be able to access their work, financial history, bank accounts, private notes, insurance policies, computer programs, photographs, music, you-name-it at any given time, place, or circumstance.
"I knew that," you say. "Tell me something new." But of course! It wouldn't be fair to state the obvious without passing on the best equipment available for riding the wave. Below is a short list of all the latest and greatest tools you may have missed in your struggle to be mobile.

Well, there's good news, interesting news, and bad news. First, the interesting news. Throughout time, law makers in some corners of the earth have taken some special, sinister delight in creating tax laws. We bring you an interesting one today, that of Peter the Great (1672-1725), the infamous Tsar of Russia. His most interesting contribution to tax laws? The tax on beards. If you recall from your history classes, Tsar Peter's travels to Europe convinced him that his country was having a major fashion crisis.
