Job Summary 

The Virtual Financial Officer will be responsible for managing the full back-office accounting functions for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to the highest standards of financial management. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and finance, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and clients simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage Accounting Functions: Oversee all back-office accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance for multiple clients.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for clients.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist clients in developing budgets and forecasts to support their financial planning and decision-making processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards, including tax filings and audits.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to address their financial needs, provide updates, and offer strategic financial advice.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage accounting software and technology tools to streamline processes and improve the overall client experience.

Qualifications 
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a multi-client environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with cloud-based financial management systems is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Job Description 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CPA Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax regulations, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. This role involves reviewing and managing tax filings, providing strategic tax planning advice, and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Review individual, trust, estate, corporate, partnership, and non-profit tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
  • Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of work and professional development.
  • Stay current with tax legislation, regulations, and best practices, and communicate relevant changes to clients and team members.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering exceptional service and proactive communication.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to resolve complex tax issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Participate in business development and the preparation of new and existing client service engagements.

 Qualifications and Skills 
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the industry, with a minimum of 3 years of experience reviewing tax returns.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
